11.8.2010 MY COUNTRY'S FLAG

CAROLINE, ENGLAND (UK)
flag
My Country's Flag ~ taken from the top of our Village tower. Of course the 'English' flag, not the Union Jack :D

MADDY, NEW JERSEY/NYC
11/8/10
Even though I was born in the Dominican Republic, my heart belongs to the USA.

RIKAKO, JAPAN
11.8 My country's flag
The Japanese flag!

ROCIO, BORDER OF MEXICO
My Country's flag 11.08.10
I have to give credit to my daughter for taking this picture during the celebration of the Mexican Independence day. You could find "Los Vendedores Ambulantes" (vendors) in each corner downtown.

KATIE, INDONESIA
11.8.2010
My little Emmie LOVES flags!! She dances and twirls with them around. As a dual citizen she gets to wave two!

SARAH, GEORGIA
11.8 My country's flag

WANDA, MONTREAL
Nov. 8, 2010 - Canada's flag. "The Maple Leaf"
I spent an hour today driving around and found a whack of flagpoles with the Canadian flag, but no wind. Limp pieces of cloth - saying nothing. Thus the Wikipedia version. However, still proud to be Canadian!

  1. Ummm....ok...so I can really spell....when I'm not being pulled at and jumped on (by small children!). Just in case anyone noticed or wondered.

Meanwhile, interesting how much red there is on so many flags. If you look them all up -it's the predominant color!

    Have a great week ladies!

  2. Ha ha! Sorry Wands! I usually clean things p a little before posting! It's about impossible to type straight with kiddos in the room!

    Love the flags ladies!

Rocio, your daughter did such a great job!

Oh, and that Emmie is so cute! Unbelievable. Canada and the U.S. are BOTH very lucky to have her!

  3. Ha ha! Those Typos were SO not intentional!

Typing around midnight after FINALLY getting a sassy sweet baby to sleep doesn't do much for the spelling either!

  4. Awesome flag shot, Maddy! I could almost hear it flapping loudly in the wind.

LOVE the creativity of your flag, Rikako! =)

I was going to get the kids to pose with both a Canadian and a Hong Kong flag, but couldn't find the Canadian flag that we have and I totally forgot to buy a HK one from the souvenir shop over the weekend! :(

I wish I could've photographed the Dominican flag, but I couldn't get my hands on one :o/ However, it's also another flag with Red...red, white and blue to be exact :)
