3.3.10 "FIRST THING I SEE WHEN I WAKE UP..."

TEZZIE, FINLAND
3.3 "First think I see when I wake up in the morning..."
...is always Linus...or "Clickety Click" as I call him in the morning. He's sooo excited that I'm up...and that he's about to get to go outside, that his claws "clickety click" really loudly on our hard wood floors. Which drives me nuts ;D

The sun, and my bedside tables/shelves. The color makes me happy! Another custom order from me, carried out by the love of my life.

SALMA, CANADA
First thing I see when I awake in the morning
I love my lace canopy, that frames my bed . I feel like I am in heaven when I wake up and find myself surrounded by what looks like soft white clouds.

SARAH, GEORGIA
3.3 Today
We woke up to rain that turned to snow. I looked out on the deck and noticed one of the neighbor kids left her lunch she'd brought over the other day. I'm ready to wake up to sunshine and spring!

BUCKEROOMAMA, HONG KONG

I try to sleep on my left side... but keep waking up on my right! So, I see my nightstand and closet first thing every morning!

REBECKAH, PHILADELPHIA
3.3.10 First Thing I see When I wake up in the morning.
I am trying to get up every morning and pray as the sun rises this year. It is a great way to start the day. 'We have to pray with our eyes on God, not on the difficulties.' ~Oswald Chambers

I go get my sweet and spunky girl out of bed. What a great way to start the day!! :)

  1. Dear Linus,

I love you so much it hurts. Those beautiful brown eyes seem to see right into my soul. I think you should marry Bella.

    Sincerely,
    and with all my heart,

  2. Beautiful mornings and first sights everyone.
I would die to wake up to a view like Bokeroomama has. Simply gorgeous.
And I am sending some sun to Sarah :)

  3. Dear Bella,
(Since Linus can't type, I'll write this for him)...
Woof woof...sniff sniff (most likely in inapproriate places)...heavy breathing...sloppy doggy kisses ;D
(I think it means he likes you, too!)

    Puppy love,

  5. Amber eyes, chocolate fur... If I can have a dog, I'd want one just like him!

Rikako - Awww, sleeping sweethearts. There's something so, so sweet about sleeping kiddies. :)

Lola - Is that "The History of Love"? I have a copy here, but have yet to read it. :)

In a fantasy world, we'd be able to trade places and wake up to each of these... :)

  7. Loving all the photos. It's incredible how we can miss the little things, until we stand up and take notice.

  9. I just want to apologize because I can never remember all of the AMAZING things I just saw when I leave my comments. I love Linus. What a beautiful dog. And I LOVE the bookshelves. Oh my gosh. What a great color! That just made me positively happy :) Plus we have the same exact bed. So now I feel cool : ). The canopy bed made my heart skip a beat. So pretty. I love that. Romantic. I asked Gary if we could have a canopy one time and he thought I was NUTS! : ). Boys.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the kids Buckaroomama. So much I would like to come over and give them a squeezy hug.

Books always make me happy. The one with the leather cover is so pretty.

    Love Suki's pretty tree.

Love Sarah's noodles and traumatic snow...

    XO to everyone.

Shhhh...Let them sleep a little bit longer.

Suki & Buckeroomama - I want to see those beautiful and gorgeous views when I wake up.

    Lola - Rest well!

  11. Katie - hahaha!! I'm so glad you posted this...that totally put a huge smile on my face!!

And thanks for all the 'Linus Love', everyone! Rikako - the great thing about living out in the middle of nowhere is that I can just open the door for the dog...he goes out to do his "business" like a cat, and when he's all done, he knocks on the door to be let back in!!! This time of year especially, I'm VERY thankful for not having to brave the weather at 6am ;D
