  14. LOL! I should explain or at least link it somewhere...

    Lai sees are red envelopes with money inside. These are usually handed out during Chinese New Year by married people to children (not just their own), by bosses to the people who work for them. (See: http://buckeroomama.blogspot.com/2010/02/symbols-chinese-new-year.html)
