What am I scared of? SPIDERS!! As a Canadian girl we don't see many spiders, especially not big ones. It is a joke in my husband's line of work that most of the assignments are split up between posts that are bugs or bombs...I told him when we started that I would take the bombs yet here we are in the middle of oodles of bugs. Ewwwwwwwww! In my defence I have gotten a lot better. I found this one last week and he was about as big as my hand and I didn't even scream. My hubby was so proud!

Today ... nope, sorry, more from Sunday! 7 young people were baptised at church! It was a really fun service, but big crowds and swimming pools do not make for easy photography! This was taken above my head (thank goodness for swivel screens!).

Today? Taking in the beauty and culture of the island of Java by heading out of town (about an hour or so by car) to go furniture shopping. This guy was at the Javanese island resort we stayed at on our Mt. Bromo trip and shows off some of the carving skill people have here. Let's hope I find some great carved wood furniture too.

Today I am still going through my oodles of photos from my trip to Mt. Bromo (volcano!). This man had such a fascinating face that I kept trying to take a candid of him but just couldn't get a clear shot. Finally I asked if he would let me take his photo so here he is selling dried flowers to throw into the volcano. (And that is the volcano directly behind him!)
