Tulips reaching for the sun ~ what could be more beautiful?!
BUCKEROOMAMA, HONG KONG
Not exactly spring flowers as they bloom pretty much all year round, but these bougainvilleas add that bit of color to what has been a mostly overcast, foggy, and dull spring this year (weather-wise).
LOLA, UTAH
I didn't post my shot last night because I have been crazy/busy and knew that I hadn't taken time to shoot one. But this morning, as I was pulling photos from my memory card, I saw that Kort had taken some the other day! Yay! He did it as a "present" for his teacher - too funny! So, here are the flowers that are "making an appearance" in the ever cold, ever snowy land of Utah! Tulips are tough!

‘We can only be said to be alive in those moments when our hearts are conscious of our treasures.’ ~Thornton Wilder
TEZZIE, FINLAND
Unfortunately, spring flowers haven't made their appearance yet...maybe in a couple of weeks (here's hoping!)
RIKAKO, JAPAM
My favorite is surely cherry blossoms. I am sorry it scattered already at the beginning of April.
NISA, THE BAHAMAS
We don't really have Spring here. Flowers bloom all year round. Again, I don't know what these are. You all seem to know your flowers, so hit me! What are they? *grin*
SUKI, GERMANY
I just love cherry trees and their flowers :)
SONYA, THE NETHERLANDS
Beautiful spring flowers are everywhere to see!
SARAH, GEORGIA
I love seeing the trees in bloom before all the flowers and shrubs start. A few weeks ago the cherry blossoms were gorgeous! This one is in our front yard and it was covered in so many white flowers that from a distance, it looked like snow! My other favorites are the pink dogwoods that are all over the south :)
ROCIO, BORDER OF MEXICO
Our Beautiful "Opuntia Rufida"(Blind Prickly Pear)is giving beautiful flowers...♥♥♥ What I love about this plant is that has two different edible sections: El "Nopal" the pad of the cactus, which can be treated like a vegetable, and La "Tuna" the pear, which can be treated like a fruit.
Nisa's flowers bloom all year?
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness! : )
I always thought that would be such a lovely environment to live in: Tropical.
So pretty and lovely.
Flowers are sensational!
Happy Friday one and all.
I'd rather have roses on my table than diamonds on my neck. ~Emma Goldman
I love all the flower shots!! :) Rikako, I hope to visit Japan during cherry blossom season one day. I just love cherry blossoms!
ReplyDeleteHave a good weekend, y'all!

On another note, I have a favor to ask of you:
Could you please drop by my blog and help me come closer to a decision with regard to what camera, which model and brand to get? I'd really be interested in what you think. :) Thanks in advance.

Wow such beautiful flowers! I love the Blind Prickly Pear!
ReplyDeleteOh, beautiful shots, everyone!...is it just me, or am I sensing a cherry tree blossom theme, here? ;D LOL
ReplyDeleteThat Blind Prickly Pear is gorgeous...as is Nisa's mystery flower!
It's been raining here this week, which will bring out those spring flowers of ours real fast...hoping to have some to share with you all next week!
Have a wonderful weekend, girlfriends!
We have lots of cherry blossom here too ~ (and blossoms of many other kinds), so I'm glad someone (or more than one person) posted them! :D
ReplyDeleteNisa, I believe your flowers is a Mandevilla sanderi or Brazillian Jasmine. Beautiful pictures everyone. Great start to my day as I sit here waiting for the plumber :(
ReplyDeleteHey ladies! New flower pics were added late - sorry! Becky, B-mama, and my pics are up now too!
ReplyDeleteI ALSO loved the recurring cherry blossom theme! We call them "Popcorn Trees" in these parts!
Nisa's picture makes me nostalgic for the time we lived in Hawaii. I loved being surrounded by by beautiful, tropical flower blossoms year round. (I also loved snorkeling, bbq-ing, eating way too much seafood and fresh fruit, and nightly yoga at a studio where the waves were crashing a few hundred feet from the door! ...in case anyone was wondering ;) How did I end up back in Utah again?! ha ha!
That's my problem, Lola! I don't like seafood. *grin*
ReplyDeleteThese flowers just made my Friday. I so agree with Emma Goldman. I would rather have flowers on my table.
Absolutely lovely, everyone!
Thanks, Pat! I'm always interested to learn what they are, but taking the time to look them up is another matter... Hehe!
Tezzie - By the way, that photograph of the "Pushy Willow" (as Kort calls it) is DIVINE! I would print that out and hang it!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, all of them! I really love the very first tulip shot!
ReplyDeleteTulips are my favorite flower!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous, my blog post for today was full of similar photos depicting April in our garden.
ReplyDeleteThe Spring is so beautiful all over the world.
Lola - Thanks!!! I love Kort's name for them...it always feels wrong, somehow, to call them by their real name ;D. 'course, I could always adopt their British/English name; Catkins...seems more politically correct, somehow LOL
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Spring Ladies!
ReplyDeleteTezzie, I love your shot!!
Caroline and Lola, tulips are my absolute favorite flower! My husband knows I'd take a dozen tulips over roses any day :)
ReplyDeleteMy favorites are the Cherry Blossoms and Dogwood trees. Tulips are pretty much my favorite flower. :) Spring has come to the South, thank goodness. Glad it's here and the pollen is out.
