SUKI,GERMANY
Sorry for adding so late. Life is so hectic over here. All preparations must be made because of Easter. Sometimes I just need a break and today it happened to be in that glorious swing.
BECKY, PHILADELPHIA
Today I played with one of my favorite one year olds. Aren't these shoes FABULOUS? I want some!
RIKAKO, JAPAN
I enjoyed "Dim Sum"(Chinese cuisine) lunch with my co-workers. It was the company's treat. "Dim Sum" are usually served in a small steamer basket or on a small plate. Their dumplings were sooo delicious.
TRESSA, NORWAY
Eva Gabrielle (my 5 year old) has been busy decorating for Easter (Påske) it is HUGE over here... Everything closes today at noon....
TEZZIE, FINLAND
I'm (still) building my kitchen chairs...but they're nearing completion :D
LOLA, UTAH
Doggy portrait day! For no good reason...other than I was bored :)
SARAH, GEORGIA
My daughter, Kathryn, donned her UGA cheerleading outfit in preparation for a sports-themed birthday party.
ROCIO, BORDER OF MEXICO
Today I went to Mexico.
“At the sight of blackbirds
Flying in a green light,
Even the bawds of euphony
Would cry out sharply.”
— Wallace Stevens, Thirteen Ways Of Looking At A Blackbird
Today on my way to the airport I saw an amazing flock of blackbirds. I had to stop. It was beautiful!
KATIE, INDONESIA
Today I learned about the gamelan, an Indonesian instrument (from Java & Bali) that sounds somewhat like a glockenspiel but its sounds resonates more. Beautiful and interesting! (Bali, Indonesia)
EMILY, ITALY
CORNELIA, SOUTH AFRICA
One of my best friends from childhood is getting married soon. This picture of her and her mother was taken at her kitchen tea.
BUCKEROOMAMA, HONG KONG
Today, it crossed my mind that maybe I should make 'chops' for both Josh and Zoë. The chops are actually 'stamps' with their Chinese names engraved... usually used with a red ink pad.

3.30.2010 "MY FAVORITE SHOP"
TEZZIE, FINLAND
I usually buy groceries on my way home from school...but sometimes it's fun to have the kids along to do the weekly grocery shopping!
ROCIO, BORDER OF MEXICO
My favorite store is Betsy Johnson. My Pink Angel loves to get funky clothing there. I love their purses and accessories...♥
TRESSA, NORWAY
I DO NOT SHOP in Norway unless it is an EMERGENCY... it is WAY TO EXPENSIVE here... get me to the states & I am a crazy woman with a credit card. Every once in a while I SPLURGE on American food from ULTRA. You are looking at $65 worth of American goodies...
EMILY, ITALY
Okay, in the interest of full disclosure, this is NOT my favorite place to shop. That said, fish markets in Sicily are entertaining and lively and certainly worth a stop!
SARAH, GEORGIA
(I didn't take this picture -- I found it on the web!) Attic Treasures was an antique store I worked at while I was in college. It was like working in a museum! I loved it! And the couple that owned it were so knowledgeable about everything under the sun. I really learned a lot working there.
RIKAKO, JAPAN
My favorite but dangerous clothing shop. I shouldn't go here for not spending money.
BECKY, PHILADELPHIA
Well, this isn't actually my regular store. It is a corner store in Philadelphia. Many of the families I work with shop at little stores like this. They are very pricey. Laundry detergent that I pay $10 cost $20 in the corner store.
KATIE, INDONESIA
My favourite place to shop? Like in the WORLD? Definitely A-Souq Al-Hamidiyah in Damascus, Syria. Unfortunately I went before I had a digital camera and only took ONE picture ( do you remember those days?) and the picture turned out terribly. I guess I'll just have to go back to make that right. So, until then, here is a good runner up - Al Khan Al Khalili in Cairo, Egypt. Full of life, colour and I'm told that I can buy "Anything I'm looking for at a 'good Egyptian price.'" Ha ha, that is really code for: "I'm going to rip you off because you look like a tourist." Nisa knows. ;) It is lots of fun anyway.
BUCKEROOMAMA, HONG KONG
Book Buddy. I love browsing here.... very dangerous. I think 90% of our kiddie library came from this shop. How did you think I became a VIP member?
LOLA, UTAH
This "The Sweet Tooth Fairy." It is a whimsical little cupcake shop just 5 minutes away from my house. It is so charming and delicious! A definite favorite of mine. (I know, leave it to the pregnant girl to name a CUPCAKE shop as her favorite!)
CORNELIA, SOUTH AFRICA
This is our local grocery store. It is part of a large chaingroup and branches can be found all over South Africa.

BUCKEROOMAMA, HONG KONG
I got stuck in traffic on this very narrow bridge for what seemed like an eternity. So I thought I'd have some fun and take a few photos with my trusty old point-and-shoot!
CORNELIA, SOUTH AFRICA
Getting ready for the Soccer World Cup. It will be held in South Africa in June/July this year.
EMILY, ITALY
My best friend from high school is visiting, so I guess it's time to set out pots of flowers. I only wish my patio actually looked like this one!
KATIE, INDONESIA
My munchkin and I head head have a blast in a giant ball pit. Having a kid means you get to play and have fun in a way that we adults just don't do anymore. I'm loving rediscovering my sense of play and joy!
LOLA, UTAH
Finally going Easter shopping today! (I LOVE soaking in aisle after aisle of candy packaged in lovely spring colors!) This is a jammie-clad Kort on Easter morning in 2006. I can't believe how much he "got it" (you know, egg hunting and candy coma joy?) even when he was just a wee two and half years old!
BECKY, PHILADELPHIA
Today my brother and his wife had a baby. Jacob John. Isn't he sweet. He weighed ten pounds and she did not have a C-Section. Be still my heart.... Can you imagine?
RIKAKO, JAPAN
H&M opened its first temporary shop for a week in the mall where I work. Does everybody know this Swedish clothing company? The shop is packed with customers. I can't believe that it took about 4 hours to enter the shop on the opening day. Still now, it takes about 1 or 2 hours to get in. The waiting lines are huge and never ends. Me? No way! I won't wait that long. I am just passing by the store.
ROCIO, BORDER OF MEXICO
Today I stopped and capture this beautiful wild flower on the side of the road.
SARAH, GEORGIA
I'm recovering from the weekend festivities of Matthew turning 5!
TEZZIE, FINLAND
The snow has finally started to melt...for real!!!
TRESSA, NORWAY
Can you tell we are DYING to get out on the water? COME ON SPRING!

3.26.2010 "A FAVORITE OUTFIT"
SUKI, GERMANY
I think this is one of my most favourite outfits ever. I bought this skirt in Scotland, the knitted socks are made from my grannt and the gloves too. If you wonder, it wasn't cold at all to lie in the snow.
BECKY, PHILADELPHIA
This is my favorite dress and shoes. I got the dress at Fashion Bug on Summer Clearance 2 years ago for $3.99. How exciting is that? I am SO cheap : )
EMILY, ITALY
CORNELIA, SOUTH AFRICA
This might not be my all time favourite, but at the moment I love it:-) I'm still working on this dress, the seam is only pinned down.
LOLA, UTAH
As some of you may have noticed, I am practically living in this little number these days! It's one of the few remaining items of clothing that perfectly accomodates my growing baby bump. I bought the dress for $6 on clearance at Target! Based on how much I've worn it, that figures out to be about .01 cent per use!
RIKAKO, JAPAN
My weekend outfit. Rabbit printed T-shirt is my favorite. Pink shoes with heels are new.
TEZZIE, FINLAND
I feel best when I don't have to give what I'm wearing any thought at all...one of the many reasons I love studying cabinet making ;D I just need to throw on my work pants, and choose a clean t-shirt for the day!
SARAH, GEORGIA
This is a baptism gown that my niece and all three of my children have worn at their baptisms. I love it!

3.25.2010 "TODAY"
BUCKEROOMAMA, HONG KONG
We took the kids biking and it's Zoë's turn today to "beep" the entry card on the card reader upon our return home.
LOLA, UTAH
I am obsessing about (and blogging about) baby booties! I officially want to learn to crochet so I can have as many pairs as my lil' heart desires! (which is like, at least 20.) I just got a few sets in the mail, and I am so in love with these ones, aren't they hilarious?!
CORNELIA, SOUTH AFRICA
I love this boyfriend of mine!
EMILY, ITALY
This is my youngest daughter, Penelope, bird watching on the Sicilian marshland. I love watching her discover nature.
BECKY, PHILADELPHIA
Today I want to take a walk after work and find some pretty pictures of Spring!
RIKAKO, JAPAN
It was nice warm weather today. We went out to the park and my son & hubby got to play soccer.
SARAH, GEORGIA
I'm seeing more and more green each day :)
TEZZIE, FINLAND
The kids render their playroom a national disaster area once again...
