Dog hair doesn't bother me. Not even lots of it. And it's a good thing - cause we tend to accumulate a lot of it around here! (and it's obviously worth every ounce of extra cleaning effort...as you can see...) Also on the list of things that don't bother me are: bare feet, double-dipping (yes, even if it's someone else who is doing the double dipping), people rubbing my pregnant belly (yes, even excited strangers at the grocery store), and anything that comes out of my kid's nose. Yep, doesn't bother me. Growing up with three (fairly disgusting) brothers will do that to a girl! *sigh* I am SO destined to be a crazy cat/dog/bird lady...

I love reading the comics!! My hubby who doesn't like the comics thinks I have been renting them. Sorry! I have been buying them.

I never thought I would enjoy self-portraits that much. I was never too fond of stepping in front of a camera. I'd rather be behind one, but it lets me discouver a whole new me. Does that count as a secret?

We had a picnic: Grapetizer, Strawberries, delicious buns and Biltong. Bitlong is dried and pickled meat which are then cut into slices. It was used by the pioneers when they needed food that would not go bad in our hot climate. Delicious!



LOLA, UTAH

We went and watched daddy's soccer coaching skills in action for the first time today! Evil, sneaky Utah/March tricked us into thinking it would be a beautiful day, but twenty minutes into the game, the sun disappeared behind the clouds, the canyon winds picked up, and we were freezing! I took about 50 pictures of the team and the game (planning to share my favorite shot with all of you) but wouldn't you know it...? My favorite shot had nothing to do with the game! {I especially love the freckles, and the little piece of Bubbuh that tagged along with us on the collar of Kort's coat.}

3.22.2010 "A FAVORITE MAGAZINE"

I am so cheap! Do you know how I get my favorite magazine? I go to our local thrift store on half price day and get old copies for a quarter. I put them in my work bag to meander thru while I am in the court waiting room a few days a week. They are a lifesaver!

Please excuse the picture -- I took it with my phone :) My all-time favorite magazine to read is Southern Living, but I quit subscribing to it because I would tear out every recipe I wanted to try and every project I wanted to do and every trip I wanted to take and, well, it just got to be a little much :) But it's still THE magazine I'll buy for a long car trip or something like that. These are the 2 magazines I had at home that I've read most recently. The first is one from the "free stash" that they give out at the pediatrician's office. We have a son who has ADHD and ODD, so when I saw the headline "Parent Advocate" I thought it might have some helpful information in it. The second was included in my first order of produce from the CSA we just joined. It was full of recipes and articles about local farms and farmers and restaurants around Atlanta that use fresh and/or organic produce.

I don't often read magazines, but my mother-in-law got my daughter a subscription to Highlights for her birthday and it's a whole family favorite! Unfortunately, it takes ages for new issues to arrive. The February issue just came last week!

I'm not much of a magazine reader...but when I do pick one up, it's usually a photography mag, or home decor :D
