Ahhhh...Costco. Coming back to North America is always a bit of a shock but it has been especially apparent after living in Indonesia. Most of our fresh food was bought at the market....by our housekeeper. The "grocery stores" were pitiful and frustrating with poor quality fresh food and the "cheese counter" was a small corner in the meat section where I could buy sliced package cheese or outrageously expensive mediocre quality white cheddar from Australia. Coming back to see cheese the extends as far as the eye can see made me stop in stare, jaw dropped and all. And the pies? Well, that is from American Thanksgiving. They had AISLES of them. The pies were bigger than my head and stacked high. I saw people with carts full of them. Amazing. Coming home is sometimes as much of a cultural experience as going abroad. (Arizona, USA)

2011.12.14, Yes, another picture of Emilie and ducks. What can I say? She loves 'em! And they certainly seem to like her. What you don't see here is the GIANT GOOSE, that flew up onto the sidewalk and snuck up behind her to steal the rest of her bread. She was terrified! I told her that geese are nothing to be afraid of but then I realized that if an animal, that was as big as me and looking me in the eyes walked up to me and bit the food out of my hands I might be a bit freaked out too! (Arizona, USA)
